"You tugged at it, pulled at it, divided the river‘s course"

Doing Something

Life is not worth much, but

It is worth everything.

If you did nothing in life,

You may be “nice” at times or

You may be unkind (or both) at times, and

You may be missed by those who personally knew you.

If you “did something” in life,

You may be “nice” or

You may be unkind (most likely both), and

You may be missed by those who knew you, and

By some who didn’t.

Either way, you will probably only be missed for a short while, but

If you “did something,”

You altered the way things were going.

The process was happily moving along, when

You tugged at it, pulled at it, divided the river‘s course.

It wouldn’t have happened if you hadn’t made it go that way.

Bravo to those who do.

Once some change is made,

Life never returns to before.

The process moves happily along, until again,

Someone does something.
