The War is Over - Inventor, Peter Sumaruck, and political activist, Larry Bailey have made peace.

How did that ever happen - tell us about the last battle. In May, Larry emailed Pete, much to his surprise. Pete hadn’t heard from his old nemesis-buddy Larry, since last fall, 2009 - at that time, things were less than rosy.

Now this email, what could Larry want. Turned out it was the usual, “What’ya do’in Petesy-Weetsy,” and so on, and so on.

Pete told me, “We did a lot of reciprocal rotten cussing, as usual,” neither of them listening to the other and both defensive.

But Pete did include his phone number, in his reply to Larry. Pete has left his phone number several times with Steve Robinson (no reply), but not with Larry. “Can’t they use a simple telephone,” Pete says.

Low and behold, “Larry calls me. Larry Bailey was the only one of all those guys harassing me who had the balls to call me. In those 15 or 20 minutes of talk, we both convinced each other who we are…and we didn’t give a rat’s ass what anyone else thinks.”

What did these two talk about - “Larry asked me how I could have done black ops for nine and a half years if I went to Nam in 1974, and then the war ended. I told him I did ops all over the world, but not the details. Funny…guess he got it that I couldn’t give him details. Larry understood.

“He apologized to me and I apologized to him. That was the most important thing…I’d have to say, it was actually a cordial conversation.”…“Yeah, Larry and I made up,” Pete shrugs, “should have done that sooner; we could have saved a lot of time (and misery).”

The War is Over - All wars need a talking diplomacy.
