I want to bring new meaning to what might be called "Academic Art." Since childhood, I had an appreciation for Classical art. The Old Masters to me is not just a name given to artists who have become "classics". I always felt that they are the unmatched MASTERS in the most spiritual sense of that word. They are the ones who went further and deeper into the bottomless well of creation. Lately, for me, the metaphor of going into that well, has translated into a very tangible act of understanding FORM. As a famous late 19th century art teacher said, "You can't draw even one line correctly without seeing form."
